| The PACIFIC ECONOMIC FORUM™ is a Vancouver Board of Trade program that presents speakers, seminars and conferences featuring renowned world leaders. PACIFIC ECONOMIC FORUM (The Forum) speakers come to The Vancouver Board of Trade from all over the globe to address and engage Board of Trade members and their guests on topics of broad, international interest. It was launched when The Vancouver Board of Trade hosted Sir Howard Davies, director of the London School of Economics, in April, 2007when he spoke about China’s economy.
Since The Forum’s inception, The Vancouver Board of Trade has hosted a number of events under this banner. Speakers have included The Honorable William Jefferson Clinton, 42nd President of the United States; Stephen R. Covey, leadership authority and best-selling author of The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness; Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada; David Dodge, Governor of the Bank of Canada; and Philip Chen, CEO, Cathay Pacific Airways.
